"all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings" — The light that the Israelites experienced was not produced or earned by them for they had sinned and worshiped idols while in Egypt (Josh. 24:14). The low-cal they experienced was a light from God because of His covenant with them. All the Israelites had lite in their dwellings. "your petty ones" — Notice that Pharaoh was very unwilling to let the children go.

"y'all who are men" — In the end, Pharaoh changed his listen almost letting the children go. He only allowed the men to go and wanted the children to be left behind. At this point, God sent the plague of locusts to Arab republic of egypt.

The food God gives vs. the nutrient of the world

After the Israelites left Egypt, God fed them with manna in the wilderness.

"And the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the state . . ."
— Joshua 5:12 KJV

"quondam corn" — This corn refers to wheat. This speaks of "tasting" (experiencing) Jesus in different forms or means.

In the promised state of Canaan, the land flowing with milk and honey (Deut. vi:3) where the Israelites were headed toward after they left Egypt, the nutrient that God had prepared for them was easy to assemble. They had nutrient like wheat, barley, figs, and pomegranates that the people could only pluck and swallow because they were in reach (Deut. 8:8).

Even in the wilderness, when the Israelites were tired, God sent quails that fluttered down from heaven and were easy to catch at arm's length (Num. 11:31).

Compare this to the nutrient the Israelites had in Egypt similar leeks, onions, and garlic, which are the food of the ground (Num. eleven:v). To harvest this food, the Israelites needed to toil and curve down to gather them. This is a picture of toilsome labor.

The food of Arab republic of egypt is a moving-picture show of the nourishment and satisfaction that the world offers, while the food the Israelites received from God is a flick of the nourishment and satisfaction God offers to His children in His Word. Nosotros tend to think that finding nutrient in God's Word is difficult while finding food in the world is easy. We can observe opportunities to talk to our kids about Jesus and God will give our words weight in their lives. We can talk to them about the Lord in simple ways similar recounting our own experiences with the Lord. Thirty-eight years ago, when Moses and Aaron outset sent out the twelve spies into Canaan, ten spies returned with a bad report of the state and all the congregation believed their bad report. And that is why the Israelites ended up wandering in the wilderness until a new generation arose. During this time, God was giving the people of Jericho opportunity afterward opportunity to believe in Him.

Rahab was a citizen of Jericho, and she believed God when she heard the stories of how God dried up the Red Sea many years agone. Considering the two spies had gone to Rahab'southward house, she saved them from beingness discovered and helped them escape.

The scarlet rope is a ruby rope, and it is a picture of Jesus and represents His claret that was shed for us at the cross. Know that Jesus' blood is covering your household and it protects, saves, and cleanses you of all sin.

Rahab and her family lived on the wall of Jericho (Josh. ii:15), and while the walls were supernaturally destroyed, her business firm didn't fall because she and her family believed on Jesus.

Paul and Silas

But be assured that because you believe, there is an open door for the Lord to come in and save them. Believe that God's grace will make it easy for your loved ones to believe.

God is raising the younger generation with a special grace and anointing to spread the gospel in these terminal days

We get back to the story of the fall of Jericho:

"And the young men ('naar') who had been spies went in and brought out Rahab, her begetter, her mother, her brothers, and all that she had. So they brought out all her relatives and left them outside the army camp of Israel."
— Joshua 6:23 NKJV

"Rahab, her begetter, her mother, her brothers, and all that she had" — Because Rahab believed on the Lord, her unabridged family was saved.

"young men ('naar') who had been spies" — The phrase "immature men" is "naar" in Hebrew and describes youths who autumn in the historic period category of infancy to xx years old. Jericho is a picture of the world in the terminate times. And in these last days, it will be the younger generation who will exist the ones saving many people.

Earlier Joshua and his men took downwardly the city, God instructed them to become around the walls of Jericho for seven days. Samson's story

In Samson's story, we know God gave him the concrete force to slay all his enemies. Only Samson fell when he told his enemies, the Philistines, that the secret to his forcefulness was in his long hair (long hair is a picture of weakness, and this speaks of how God's strength flowed through Samson's weakness). Once Samson told his enemies his secret, the Philistines cut his long hair, leaving him without forcefulness. They also blinded him by gouging out his eyes and held him captive. The blinded Samson is a picture of the church building today, which is blinded.

During a pagan festival that the Philistines were jubilant, Samson was brought into their temple to perform for them. They stationed him between two pillars, and this is what happened:

"And then Samson said to the lad ('naar') who held him by the hand, 'Allow me feel the pillars which support the temple, and so that I tin can lean on them.'"
— Judges 16:26 NKJV

"the lad ('naar') who held him by the hand" — Once again, nosotros run into the younger generation that volition hold the church by the paw and lead them to the place of victory.

"Who satisfies your mouth with adept things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's"
— Psalm 103:v NKJV

"your youth is renewed like the eagle's" — An hawkeye'south renewal is physical. They molt, and their old feathers are replaced past young, vivid feathers. Know that your renewal of youth is not just spiritual, but physical! This is but 1 of the many benefits that God promises yous (Ps. 103:2).

This is what the life of a blessed man looks like:

"Blessed is every one who fears the LORD,
Who walks in His ways.
When you eat the labor of your hands,
You shall be happy, and it shall exist well with you.
Your married woman shall be like a fruitful vine
In the very heart of your business firm,
Your children similar olive plants
All around your table.
Behold, thus shall the man exist blest
Who fears the LORD."
— Psalm 128:1–iv NKJV

"Your wife shall be similar a fruitful vine" — Vines produce wine, and wine represents being intoxicated with your wife's honey.

"Your children like olive plants" — Olive plants produce anointing oil, and this is a picture of how your children volition abound up anointed by God.

"Behold, thus shall the human exist blessed" — All these are family blessings, and the blessed human being will see all these blessings. When you are blessed, your family is blest.

If you are facing challenges in your family life, perhaps with your wife or children, don't go most demanding them to modify. Instead, modify your thinking and start seeing yourself as the blessed man. As you continue believing that you are the blessed man, you will start to let become of frustration and stress, and yous will run across your family blessed and transformed. When yous are impacted by the Lord, they will run across information technology and exist influenced by yous.

The clearest picture of Jesus is found in the story of Joseph:

"So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority."

Meditate on this: "God blesses [say your name hither] for Jesus' sake."

Conservancy prayer

"Heavenly Father, I thank you that Jesus Christ died for my sins on the cross. He rose from the dead when all my sins were cleared away. I thank You that His precious claret washed away all my sins. I thanks that right now I'm a new cosmos because Jesus Christ is my Lord and my Savior. And I give thanks Y'all, Begetter, for giving me Your Holy Spirit to dwell in me all the days of my life. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and all the people said, Amen."
